Aster is known as the Golden Hood who steals from the corrupt vampires and tries to take care of the people trying to scrape a living in The Wild but rises to a whole new level when she finds out she's the third piece of a prophecy to bring back the sun and save the planet

This review is for the entire Midnight Burns: New Dawn series.

What I Liked:
I liked the build-up of the The Wild in contrast to the more dystopian urban settings in the other Midnight Burns series. Aster’s gang and Max provide some good comic relief in the midst of their rather desperate surroundings.

What I Didn’t Like:
The third book was kind of a let down. It was nice to have London and Britt back, but the resolution of everything wasn’t entirely satisfying.

Overall:
Be aware, this series is NOT a romance; it’s urban fantasy. There isn’t a guaranteed HEA. It was my least favorite of the three series that take place in this world, but I felt obligated to finish it after having read the other two series. It wasn’t terrible, but the ending left me a little upset which is definitely influencing my rating.
