What I Liked:
I liked that Russ and Rory were able to bond over their rocky relationships with their dads even though they come from such different backgrounds. It was cute that they both independently really wanted to work on themselves and then they were rewarded for all their efforts by growing into people capable of being in a healthy relationship.
What I Didn’t Really Like:
It’s considered a sports romance, but there’s hardly any sports because it’s the summer. While Russ is a college hockey player, there are no hockey scenes.
Overall:
I’m not sure I liked this as much as Icebreaker. There’s nothing wrong with it, but Russ and Rory go through so much personal development, their relationship arc is less complicated and didn’t pull me into the story as much.
