What I Liked:
There was a lot of character development that showed how the main character, Cat, grew as a person in order to fulfill her destiny.
What I Didn’t Really Like:
I felt like there was maybe too much time spent on describing Cat’s internal struggles.
Overall:
This book felt too long to me. I kept reading because I really liked the first book in the series and I wanted to see Cat attain her goal, but it felt like it dragged on. I remember thinking that there was almost too much action in the first book and it seemed like Cat almost died every fifty pages. With this book, it felt like Cat was about to have a mental break-down every fifty pages. I’m not super motivated to read the next book, A Curse of Queens. Maybe I’ll try another series from the author.
