Vanessa is a successful travel vlogger living life to the fullest until she finds herself the sole guardian of a newborn baby girl. One desperate sleepless night, her neighbor, Adrian, shows up at her door and comes to her rescue by offering to watch the baby so she can shower the vomit out of her hair.

What I Liked:
I genuinely thought Life’s Too Short was funny, especially the beginning. I was able to relate to the trials and tribulations associated with caring for a newborn and all of the bodily fluids that end up absolutely everywhere. We’re all familliar with the FMC being a clutz in front of the suave MMC, but it was refreshing for the MMC to see the FMC’s trainwreck of a life and not be disuaded.

What Bothered Me:
I really liked the book, but it did feel like the struggles of caring for a newborn were highlighted in a few select scenes and then almost entirely glossed over for the rest of the book. Maybe Grace really was a unicorn baby though.

Overall:
Life’s Too Short is an amazing friends to lovers romantic comedy with plenty of depth as it deals with complicated familial relationships and the threat of terminal illness.
