Summer is finally trying to start fresh after everyone she loved and her innocence were taken away from her. Her hope for the future is squashed when her abuser sends thugs to attack her only this time she's not alone. A masked vigilante saves her, kisses her, leaves her feeling more than she has in years, and then disappears.

What I Liked:
The level of suspense is extremely high for all three of the books. Summer has so many questions about what’s really going on and answers aren’t really revealed until the third book.

What Bothered Me:
I really didn’t like Summer’s therapist or his abrasive strategies for making realizations about her current feelings. I also didn’t care for the character of Liza and found the casual switching around of love interests disconcerting.

Overall:
If you like angsty new adult romantic suspense and aren’t turned off by characters with extremely traumatic pasts, then you may enjoy the Made of Steel series. I first read this series a few years ago and remember enjoying it without remembering most of the plot. I decided to read it again and found that it is no longer the best fit for me but maybe that’s because I vaguely remembered the identify of the vigilante which is one of the biggest sources of suspense in the story.
